Wollaston Primary School were the featured school for Network Rail's Christmas video "All I want for Christmas"! We hope you are as proud of our school and children as we are!
Welcome to our website, which will hopefully give you a taste of our happy and vibrant school. We are part of the Inspire Multi Academy Trust and the belief of the trust it to put children first; something as a school we believe in whole heartedly.
As the new headteacher of Wollaston Primary School I am passionate that all children are given the chance to reach their full potential and make good progress whatever their starting point. We have a caring, committed and cheerful staff with supportive parents and carers; a skilled local academy committee who work in partnership to ensure the best outcomes for our children. Together, we encourage our children to be motivated to learn, to celebrate their achievements and to succeed to the best of their ability.
We pride ourselves on setting high expectations for all, in everything we do. We strive for excellence, aiming only for the best in terms of conduct and academic achievement. At the same time, we are truly inclusive and have an excellent track record in ensuring high quality provision for pupils who are vulnerable or who have additional needs. Pastoral care is strong and lies at the heart of our ethos.
Our curriculum is a strength of our school and one in which we are incredibly proud. It has been highlighted in 2 consecutive Ofsted inspections:
“The curriculum is designed to excite and inspire. Pupils are thriving in their learning because the innovative curriculum captures their interests and imagination." - Ofsted 2011
Visitors to the school often comment on the high standards of behaviour, calm and productive atmosphere and the approachable, friendly nature of the whole school community.
The best way to learn more about Wollaston Primary School is, of course, to see the school in action and to meet some of staff and pupils. I hope that our web-site pages encourage you to make an appointment to pay us a visit.
